Getting started
Why use a specialist?
Brickwork is all we measure. We’re not a general practice with a brickwork sideline, so every take-off is done by people who specialise in brickwork, with 15+ years’ experience behind them.
What do I send?
Email your package details and drawings: plans, elevations, sections, specification, schedules, any bill of quantities and your tender return date. See “What to put in your email” on the How it works page.
How do I get in touch?
By email at hello@masonrymeasured.co.uk. We work entirely by email, so everything is in writing and nothing gets lost.
What drawing formats do you take?
PDF is best. Other formats can be agreed with us. Drawings need to be legible and, ideally, to scale. Files too big for email? Send a link from Dropbox, Google Drive, WeTransfer or similar.
What sectors and package sizes do you take on?
Housing, commercial and every other sector. We have 15+ years’ experience pricing brickwork packages of every size for the UK’s leading bricklaying subcontractors, from small packages to major multi-block schemes.
Who do you work for?
Bricklaying subcontractors and contractors across the UK. Not sure whether your package fits? Email us and ask.
Can you help with a larger package than I’ve priced before?
Yes. Send it over and we’ll quote it like any other package.
Do you take calls or attend meetings?
We work by email only, which keeps the process quick and everything on record. If anything on your drawings is unclear, we’ll raise it in writing.
Price and turnaround
How much does it cost?
Quoted per package, based on your drawings and scope. Send your package for a fixed quotation. You approve it before we start.
Is the launch offer real, and how does it work?
Yes. We’re taking 25% off your first package while we launch. Just mention it when you send your drawings.
How fast do I get a quotation?
Turnaround is agreed with your tender deadline in the quotation. Put your tender return date in your email so we can plan around it.
How long does the take-off take?
It depends on the size of the package and the number of drawings. We agree the delivery date with you in the quotation, to fit your tender deadline.
The work
What do you measure?
The brickwork, blockwork and masonry shown on your drawings, including facing and common brickwork, blockwork, openings, lintels and related items. Anything that isn’t brickwork, blockwork or masonry is not included.
What do I get back?
Clear, itemised take-off schedules, in a format agreed with you, with the assumptions and exclusions written down.
Do you price the job for me?
No. We measure the brickwork; your rates, margins and tender strategy stay entirely yours. We give you the quantities and labour items, ready to price.
What if the drawings change?
Tell us as soon as a revision or addendum is issued. We’ll quote any re-measure in writing before we start.
Confidentiality and coverage
Is my information confidential?
Yes. We use your drawings and documents only to prepare your quotation and take-off, and we don’t share them. See our Privacy Policy for the detail.
Where do you work?
UK-wide. Everything is done remotely by email.
We have an in-house estimator. Is this useful?
Yes. Send us the overflow when tenders pile up. You keep the pricing and the decision.
Got a brickwork package to price?
Email your drawings and package details to hello@masonrymeasured.co.uk. We’ll send you a fixed quotation, and you only go ahead when you’ve approved it.
